Contemporary issues in continence for the advanced practitioner

This course is aimed at Nurse Continence Advisers and other nurses who are currently working in the area of continence assessment and management. The Advance Practice course is designed to increase knowledge and understanding of bladder and bowel dysfunction in clients with chronic neurological diseases and other chronic and complex health problems. This course will assist the nurse to undertake comprehensive and effective assessment and management of the complex bladder and bowel dysfunction in these clients.

Continence update

The College of Nursing

This one day course is designed to give registered and enrolled nurses an update on the basic knowledge of what is incontinence, how to assess it and identify the different types and basic management strategies. Participants will learn how to assist the client understand how incontinence occurs, its psychological impact and what they can do to manage, improve or cure it.
